Hi, I am Lingzhe Teng.
I am a graduate student at the University of Southern California, specializing in Informatics. I am currently working for Amazon.
During the past course of study at USC, I have been taught the basic knowledges in Machine Learning and Data Mining, and trained to implement my own algorithms to analyze datasets. Besides, I have experience with the implementation of tricky part in Unix Kernel Design, and created a mobile app to faciliate the course registration process for USC.
Before that, I got my bachelor degree in Computer Science. I am also a meritorious winner in National Blue Bridge Cup Contest (1st prize out of around 500 teams).

I have one internship experience to work as software engineer at Fujian Fujitsu, and two research experiences at my hometown. During my internship at Fujian Fujitsu, my duty is to develop mobile app, optimize database, and maintain the server for mobile device. This is mobile project for CRM product, which provides service for China Telecom company in different region of China. To improve the response performance of transregional communication, I implemented a intermediate layer with distributed caching and eventually consistency, by which reduced average response time by around 60%. My research experience at my university is to implement GEP algorithm and its improvements, and develop an application framework to run and analysis GEP algorithm in parallel. The purpose of this research is to build a Eclipse RCP-based application for GEP beginners to automatically generate GEP algorithm samples with different parameters and execute GEP instances with visual performance analysis, and to provide enough evidences for the study of multi-objective optimization. Thanks to Prof. Young Ni, a PhD of Software Engineering, the whole process of this research project is strictly following the rule of agile methodology and Domain-Driven design (DDD), by which facilitate the process of development. Prof. Zhongjian Teng is a professor of USC, and I have opportunity to work for his startup project as research assistant. This is a ERP-like framework project for business customers to automatically generate customized ERP application without any coding. My responsibility is to conduct research on famous ERP products like WebERP and Kingdee ERP, and summarize the general pattern of their databases by PowerDesigner. Besides, I also implemented machine learning algorithms, such as apriori and k-means, for this project. After my internship at Fujian Fujitsu, I had to go back to my university to struggle for my graduation project and thesis under Prof. Shengzhen Cai who is one of famous scholar in embedded system area, and my graduation project and thesis were rated as great among 212 students of my colliege.
I am a boy insists in creating a better life with science and technology, and pursuing innovation for fun. I build a online forum for my schoolmates when I was in high school, and I known how to repair software problems for my friends. I like Japanese Anime and US TV series, not just for killing time, but for learning cultures of different countries. Just for fun, I established the anime association at Lianjiang No.1 High School, and organized a cosplay show for our New Year’s party. During my college life, I joined Liandian association, a non-profit program for student to learn how to repair software and hardware problems of computers and help other schoolmates in practice. For my free time, I prefer enjoying soft music, running around lake or playing basketball with my friends, :)

Designed (WEDC), a Word embedding for document classification utility, to uses label propagation classifier for human trafficking info identification with accuracy at around 90% and 10% training data.
